Below is everything you need for DOT Coaching Training. There are two online options as well as the traditional in-person options. In-person options could be at a School or over Zoom. It is fun for staff to be able to connect with folks from other Schools and learn from their perspective.

Coaching Training (in-person)

Do this with peers from your School.

This training is one very full day of interactive learning. You will need to be well rested and ready to observe, analyze, and discuss. Included here are the materials that a trainer would need.

Coaching Refresher (in-person)

Join with your peers and refresh yourselves on how to observe, how to assign evidence to practices, and how to have a wise developmental conversation.

This half-day training will refresh anyone who has taken the full Coaching Training. It is recommended to do this the year after your original Coaching Training, especially if you haven't done an observation during that time. Otherwise, it's likely best to do every other year.

DOT Coaching Manual

This one is official.

You will get access to this during your training, but in case you forget where it is, this one is available.

Official Coaching Report

This is the official report form.

Your School will decide what form to use and how you could best put your observation and coaching skllls into practice. Remember: you can use these skills whenever they are helpful.

Coaching Training Follow-up

This resource will make sense once you've taken the training.

Helpful reminders of how to stay action-oriented when coaching.
